REACH is a regulation of the European Union. The testing part currently involved is the testing of SVHC and the issuance of the CHB report for conformity assessment. The market is currently mixed, and only institutions with representative qualifications can complete the entire REACH service, not just detection.
 
The "Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals, the EU Chemicals Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction" regulation (referred to as the REACH regulation) was officially implemented on June 1, 2007. The purpose of the regulations is to protect human health and the environment and reduce testing on vertebrate animals, in line with the EU's international obligations under the WTO framework.
 
On October 28, 2008, ECHA's Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern, including 15 categories of substances, came into effect, and companies must undertake corresponding obligations for substances included in the Candidate List for Authorization. Companies need to notify their products, provide sufficient information, and prepare safety data sheets for these substances of high concern. Recently, many batches of goods to the EU have been blocked by the EU REACH regulations involving many countries including the United States, China, and Japan. The huge impact of REACH regulations on international trade has begun to emerge. Under the current global economic crisis, China has Enterprises' trade with Europe poses a more severe challenge. According to experts' estimates, due to the introduction of REACH regulations, all trade between China and the EU of 140 billion euros will be affected, and industries such as home appliances, textiles, clothing, footwear, toys, light industry, electronics, automobiles, and pharmaceuticals will all be affected and hurt. .
 
Notification: When the article contains substances of very high concern (SVHC) and the content is > 0.1%, the total export volume is > 1t/year. Then non-EU companies must complete the notification through a representative (OR).
Restrictions: If the product contains any restricted substances, listed in Annex XVII of the regulations, it must be used in accordance with the restricted conditions. The restriction method has both use restrictions and dosage restrictions.
Supply chain information transmission: (a) When the article contains SVHC and the content is > 0.1%, and the total amount is < 1 ton/year, all its suppliers must provide sufficient information available to the article recipient to make the article safe to use;
(b) When the article contains SVHC and the content is < 0.1% or when the article does not contain SVHC at the request of the consumer, all suppliers shall provide the consumer with sufficient information free of charge within 45 days of receipt of the request, to make the item safe to use. This information includes at least the name of the substance.
